Jennifer Poynter (Chonczynski)
Personal Assistant/Bookkeeper Married

After graduating from Rollins College in 92, I moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to pursue life in a small town with endless access to outdoor recreation.  I spend most summers mountain biking, hiking & camping.  And, most winters, skiing/snowboarding.  I also enjoy surf trips to Central America a few times a year.   I think I worked most jobs in the valley - hotel reservation/front desk rep, country club hostess, ski resort ticket checker, salad girl, cocktail waitress, steak house waitress, sushi waitress, mutual fund personal assistant, hedge fund personal assistant - before finally settling into my own business as a “Personal Assistant/Bookkeeper.”  I married a fantastic partner in crime in 99.  No children…yet, as I’m told that may affect my lifestyle - ha.  But, we adopted a dog 2yrs ago.  And, she’s the perfect addition! It’s been great to read about all of you.  I hope I can make it to the reunion!  If you ever come to JH for a visit, look me up!

The multi-instrumentalist Michael Cooke is a composer of jazz and classical music. This two-time Emmy and Louis Armstrong Jazz Award winner plays a variety of instruments: you can hear him on soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, flute, soprano and bass clarinets, bassoon and percussion. A cum laude graduate with a music degree from the University of North Texas, he had many different areas of study; jazz, ethnomusicology, music history, theory and of course composition. In 1991 Michael began his professional orchestral career performing in many north Texas area symphonies. Michael has played in Europe, Mexico, and all over the United States. Cimarron Music Press began published many of Michael’s compositions in 1994. After relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, he has been exploring new paths in improvised and composed music, mixing a variety of styles and techniques that draw upon the creative energy of a multicultural experience, both in and out of America. In 1999, Michael started a jazz label called Black Hat Records (blackhatrecords.com) and is currently on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra www.sfcco.org. The San Francisco Beacon describes Michael's music as “flowing out color and tone with a feeling I haven’t heard in quite a while. Michael plays with such dimension and flavor that it sets (his) sound apart from the rest.” Uncompromising, fiery, complex, passionate, and cathartic is how the All Music Guide labeled Michael’s playing on Searching by Cooke Quartet, Statements by Michael Cooke and The Is by CKW Trio. His latest release, An Indefinite Suspension of The Possible, is an unusual mixture of woodwinds, trombone, cello, koto and percussion, creating a distinct synergy in improvised music that has previously been untapped.

investment banker www.armentumpartners.com Married 2
I am making the trek solo this year, as three small boys at home (Tyler - 10, Jackson - 8, and Blake -4) make it difficult for us to ever go anywhere together.  We still live in the suburbs south of san francisco (Los Altos, for those fluent in the Bay Are), and we are long california real estate as we are building a new house while living in our current one.  I am partner in a small investment bank, and loving the flexibility of not working in a big firm.  My wife Christine is partner at a law firm, specializing in intellectual property litigation (yes, i rarely win arguments at home).  Most of our "spare" time is spent in organized sports with the boys. stay at home mom Married 2
It has been great reading what everyone has been up to for the last 20 years.  Thanks to all who made this possible.
After graduating from and playing basketball at Rollins college I spent the next 12 years coaching college basketball.  (I was a graduate assistant coach at Furman Univ in Greenville, SC, then to Wright State Univ in Dayton, OH as an assistant coach, and finally to Oglethorpe Univ in Atlanta as a head coach).  In 2000 I married my wonderful husband Ross, and in 2004 quit coaching to become a stay at home mom, which I love!!.  We have been blessed with two amazing little boys.  (Jace 3 and Nate 1).  In 2006 we moved to Northern Virginia where we presently reside.  I still have family in Atlanta and hope to make it for the reunion.
By the way, those of you who still live in the Atlanta area should check out IHOP, The International House of Prayer that Billy Humphreys started.  You WILL be blessed! It has a powerful presence of God.
